Therapeutic hookworm therapy - volunteers needed

The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research was recently awarded funding and approval to test the ability of hookworms to confer a health advantage. There are numerous epidemiological studies showing links between helminth (worm) infections and a reduction in many immune mediated diseases. 

The initial trial will determine the type and standard of hookworm to be used in future clinical trials.
